- A later Très Russe version with lavender, lemon, ylang-ylang, and bergamot opening the scent in a bright aromatic-floral register. Tonka bean, orange blossom, and verbena make the heart warmer and smoother, while benzoin, labdanum, rosemary, and ambrette create a resinous musky base. It feels more oriental-woody and enveloping than the original Cologne à la Russe, while still keeping the house’s polished cologne ancestry visible.
